ORDINANCE NO. 972b
An ordinance rezoning a certain tract of land within the zoning jurisdiction of the
City of Grard Island; changing the land �se c?assification of a portion of the nor�hwest quarter
(1V�U 1/4) of the NW (1/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Ten (10) Nort�, �ange Nine (9) west
of the 6th P.M. in the jurisdiction of the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, from TA
Transitio�al Agriculture to B2 General Business Zone as more particular�y described below;
directing that such zoning change and classification be shown on the Official Zoning Map of the
City of �rand Island; and providing for publication and an effective date of this ordin�nce.
WHEREAS, the Regional Flanning Commission on April 3, 2019, held a public
h�aring on the proposed zoning of su�h area; and
WHEREAS, notice as required by Section 19-923, R.R.S. 1943, has been given to
the Boards af Education of the school districts in Hall County, Nebraska; and
'�JHEREAS, after public hearing on April 23, 2019, the City Council found and
deterrr�i�ec� ihe change in zoning be approved and made.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
�RAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. The followi�g tract of land is hereby rezoned, reclassified and
changed from TA Transitional Agriculture to B2 �eneral Business Zone;

SECTION 2: That the Of�'icial Zoning Map of the City of Grand Island,
N�braska, as established by Section 36-51 of the Grand Island City Code be, and the same is,
hereby ordered to be changed, amended, and compleied in accordance with this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after
its passage and publication, within fifteen days in one issue of the Grand Island Independent as
provided by law.
