WHEREAS, on March 28, 2017, via Resolution No.2017-88, the City of Grand Island
awarded The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska the bid in the amount of
$2,306,455.27 for Lift Station No. 20 Upgrade and Force Main Rehabilitation & Lift Station No. 14
Abandonment; Project No. 2017-5-1; and
WHEREAS, on October 10, 2017, via Resolution No. 2017-276, City Council
approved Change Order No. 1 to the original agreement, which allowed for replacement of Manhole
NO. 75 and extended the completion date from March 15, 2018 to April 14, 2018 in the amount of
$97,640.79; and
WHEREAS, on Apri110, 2018, via Resolution No. 2018-99, City Council approved
Change Order No. 2 at no cost, which allowed for a time extension from Apri114, 2018 to June 30,
2018; and
WHEREAS, on July 10, 2018, via Resolution No. 2018-202, City Council approved
Change Order No. 3 at no cost, which allowed for a time extension from June 30, 2018 to August 31,
2018; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that quantities need to be rectified to complete
such project; and
WHEREAS, such modifications have been incorporated into Change Order No. 4;
and
WHEREAS, the cost of Change Order No. 4 is $29,657.48, for a revised contract
agreement amount of $2,433,753.54.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 4, in the amount of $29,657.48, between the City of Grand
Island and The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska to provide the
modifications.
