06/26/2018 Resolutions 2018-180RESOLUTION 2018-180 WHEREAS, at the November 28, 2017 Council meeting, Council awarded the contract for Substation F Wall Replacement to Superior Concrete Products of Euless, Texas, in the amount of $369,953.50; and WHEREAS, part of the contract involved the cost of the old footings being removed; and WHEREAS, during construction it was discovered that not all of the footings had to be removed; and WHEREAS, as a result of the not all of the footings needing to be removed, the amount of labor involved was less than expected and there was a reduction in the amount of the contract of $3,000.00; and WHEREAS; Change Order # 1 in the amount of ($3,000.00) was prepared, resulting in a final contract amount of $366,953.50. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that Change Order # 1 in the amount of a$3,000.00 reduction in the original contract is approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Change Order on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
