WHEREAS, the Grand Island Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (GIAMPO)
in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Roads has prepared a Unified Planning Work
Program (UPWP) for the purpose of assisting the LPA in obtaining Federal approval and financial
assistance to ensure a continued, comprehensive, and cooperative transportation planning process
between the state and local governments for the Grand Island Metropolitan Planning Area for Fiscal
Year 2019; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the Eligible Planning Activities under such agreement is
currently estimated to be $273,544.00, with the federal share estimated at $218,835.00 and the MPO
share estimated at $54,709.00 for Fiscal Year 2019, which begins July l, 2018 and ends June 30,
2019.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Unified Planning Work Program (LJPWP)
for the Grand Island Metropolitan Planning Area for Fiscal Year 2019 is hereby approved.
