WHEREAS, the Substation/Transmission Division of the Utilities Department has a
need for a compact track loader to move and haul material for electric substations; and
WHEREAS, the track loader will also be utilized to remove heavy snow that would
typically require rental of such equipment; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a new loader is included in the current capital
improvement budget for the Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2014 with Resolution 2014-326 The Grand Island City
Council approved the use of the National Joint Power Alliance Buying Group (NJPA); and
WHEREAS, to meet competitive bidding requirements, the Utilities Department
obtained pricing from the NJPA Contract No. 14660 OC awarded to Bobcat Company for the
purchase of the 2018 T595 Compact Track Loader in the amount of $59,578.64.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the purchase of a 2018 T595 Compact Track
Loader in the amount of $59,578.64 is hereby approved.
