11/14/2017 Resolutions 2017-316RESOLUTION 2017-316 WHEREAS, at the July 11, 2017 meeting, Council awarded the contract for Precipitator, Bottom Ash and Boiler Industrial Cleaning at Platte Generating Station for the Fall 2017 Outage, to W-S Industrial Services of Council Bluffs, Iowa, in the amount of $112,804.00; and WHEREAS, during the outage, the contractor also performed vacuum services and high pressure water blast cleaning services through the station; and this work was done on a time and material basis, with the original bidding based on an estimate of the hours required to complete the work; and WHEREAS, variations in the time required to accomplish the actual work performed at the time of the outage requires final adjustments based on the T&M rates provided at the time of bidding; and WHEREAS, as a result of these extra hours involved in the cleaning process, Change Order #1 was prepared for $13,016.95 for a total contract amount of $125,820.95. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that Change Order #1 for Precipitator, Bottom Ash and Boiler Industrial Cleaning at Platte Generating Station for the Fall 2017 Outage, is hereby approved and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign Change Order # 1 on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
