WHEREAS, an easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from the owner of a tract
of land in the Southeast Quarter (SE'/4) of Section Thirteen (13), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Ten
(10) West, located at 518 North Webb Road, for public utilities; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held August 9, 2016 for the purpose of discussing the
acquisition of the proposed public utility easement, as follows:
COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE Y4) OF SAID
SECTION THIRTEEN (13); THENCE NORTHERLY ON THE EASTERLY LINE OF SAID SOUTHEAST
QUARTER (SE'/4) A DISTANCE OF 1895.00 FEETTO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF A TRACT OF LAND
DEDICATED FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY PURPOSES IN INSTRUMENT NO. 94106304 IN THE HALL COUNTY,
NEBRASKA REGISTER OF DEEDS OFFICE; THENCE WESTERLY ON THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID
RIGHT-OF-WAY TRACT A DISTANCE OF 37.00 FEET TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF A TRACT OF
LAND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN WARRANTY DEED BOOK 91, PAGE 136 IN THE HALL
COUNTY, NEBRASKA REGISTER OF DEEDS OFFICE; SAID POINT BEING THE ACTUAL POINT OF
BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUING WESTERLY ON THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID TRACT OF LAND A
DISTANCE OF 16.00 FHEET; THENCE NORTHELRY AND PARALLEL WITH THE EASTERLY LINE OF
SAID TRACT OF LAND A DISTANCE OF 100.00 FEET TO A POINT ON THE NORTH LINE OF SAID
TRACT OF LAND; THENCE EASTERLY ON THE NORTH LINE OF SAID TRACT OF LAND A DISTANCE
OF 16.00 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID RIGHT-0E-WAY TRACT; THENCE
SOUTHERLY ON THE WESTERLY LINE OF SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY TRACT A DISTANCE OF 100.00
FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. SAID TRACT CONTAINS A CALCULATED AREA OF 1600.00
SQUARE FEET OR 0.04 ACRES MORE OR LESS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to
acquire public utility easement as described on attached exhibit hereto, located on a tract of land in the
Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Thirteen (13), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Ten (10) West,
located at 518 North Webb Road, to allow for redevelopment of this area.
