WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from
Grand Island Venue, LLC, to install, upgrade, maintain and repair public utilities and appurtenances,
including lines and transformers; and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on December 2, 2008, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement located in the City of Grand Island, Hall County,
Nebraska; and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point being a southeasterly corner of Lot Five (5) and a
northeasterly corner of Lot Seven (7), both of Meadowlark West Fourth
Subdivision; thence on an assumed bearing of S89°35'53"W along a southerly
line of said Lot Five (5), a distance of one hundred seventy seven and ninety
eight hundredths (177.98) feet to the Actual point of beginning; thence
continuing 889°35'S3"W along a southerly line of said Lot Five (5), a distance
of sixteen and ninety five hundredths (16.95) feet to a southwesterly corner of
said Lot Five (5); thence N00°02'56"E along a westerly line of said Lot Five
(5), a distance of sixteen and eleven hundredths (16.11) feet; thence
N11°04'S7"E, a distance of seventy seven and ninety six hundredths (77.96)
feet; thence 878°55'03"E, a distance of twenty (20.0) feet; thence
811°04'S7"W, a distance of eighty nine and nine tenths (89.9) feet to the said
point of beginning.
The above-described easement and right-of--way containing 0.042 acres, more or
less, as shown on the plat dated 11/17/2008, marked Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Grand Island Venue, LLC, on the above-
described tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, December 2, 2008.
