02/26/2008 Resolutions 2008-57RESOLUTION 2008-57 WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Spent Activated Carbon & Fly Ash Waste Conveying, Storage and Conditioning System, according to plans and specifications on file with the Utilities Department; and WHEREAS, on January 22, 2008, bids were received, opened and reviewed; and WHEREAS, Clyde Bergemann Delta Ducon of Malvern, Pennsylvania, submitted a bid in accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids and plans and specifications and all other statutory requirements contained therein, such bid being in the amount of $623,810.00; and WHEREAS, the bid of Clyde Bergemann Delta Ducon is less than the estimate for the Spent Activated Carbon & Fly Ash Waste Conveying, Storage and Conditioning System. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of Clyde Bergemann Delta Ducon of Malvern, Pennsylvania in the amount of $623,810.00 for the Spent Activated Carbon & Fly Ash Waste Conveying, Storage and Conditioning System is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, February 26, 2008.
