02/12/2008 Resolutions 2008-53RESOLUTION 2008-53 WHEREAS, an application was filed by Hy-Vee, Inc., doing business as Hy-Vee Grand Island # 1221 at 115 Wilmer Avenue, Grand Island, Nebraska, for a Class "C" Liquor License; and WHEREAS, a public hearing notice was published in the Grand Island Independent as required by state law on February 2, 2008; such publication cost being $17.78; and WHEREAS, Nicholas Steinbach, 21938 Trailridge Blvd., Elk Horn, Nebraska, has applied for a liquor manager designation for the business; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 12, 2008, for the purpose of discussing such liquor license application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that: The City of Grand Island hereby recommends approval of the above- identifiedliquor license application contingent upon final inspections and for on sale consumption restricted to promotional testing by consumers. The City of Grand Island hereby makes no recommendation as to the above- identified liquor license application. The City of Grand Island hereby makes no recommendation as to the above- identified liquor license application with the following stipulations: The City of Grand Island hereby recommends denial of the above-identified liquor license application for the following reasons: The City of Grand Island hereby recommends the application of Nicholas Steinbach, 21938 Trailridge Blvd., Elk Horn, Nebraska, as liquor manager of such business upon the completion of a state approved alcohol server/seller training program.
