01/08/2008 Resolutions 2008-5RESOLUTION 2008-5 WHEREAS, on February 27, 2007, by Resolution 2007-43, the City of Grand Island awarded a bid in the total amount of $219,862.80 for the construction of Water Main District No. 455 to Starostka Group Unlimited, Inc., of Grand Island, Nebraska; .and WHEREAS, on November 13, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007-282, the City of Grand Island approved Change Order No. 2 for an extension of the warranty period on the backfill compaction; and WHEREAS, because Starostka Group Unlimited, Inc., failed to repair two residential driveways that had been damaged during the construction of Water Main District No. 455, the Utilities Department completed the repairs at a cost of $1,906.83 and that amount is to be deducted from the contract amount by Change Order No. 3. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to execute Change Order No.3 for Water Main District No. 455.
