RESOLUTION 2007-191
WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from
Bosselman Tank & Trailer, Inc., a Nebraska Corporation, to install, upgrade, maintain and repair
public utilities and appurtenances, including lines and transformers; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 14, 2007, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement located in a part of Lot Two (2), Platte Valley
Industrial Park Fifth Subdivision, located in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, the
said Twenty (20.0) foot wide easement being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot Two (2), Platte Valley Industrial Park Fifth
Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; thence easterly,
along the northerly line of said Lot Two (2) on an assumed bearing of S88°35'43"E,
a distance of two hundred thirty one and six hundredths (231.06) feet; thence
S00°27' 12"E, a distance of one hundred twenty two and ninety eight hundredths
(122.98) feet; thence S89°32'48"W, a distance of twenty (20.0) feet; thence
N00°27' 12"W, a distance of one hundred three and sixty one hundredths (103.61)
feet; thence N88°35'43"W and parallel with the northerly line of said Lot Two (2), a
distance of two hundred eleven and thirty hundredths (211.30) feet to a point on the
westerly line of said Lot Two (2); thence N00°37'56"E, along the westerly line of
said Lot Two (2) a distance of twenty (20.0) feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot
Two (2), being the said Point of Beginning.
The above-described easement and right-of--way containing a total of 0.15 acres,
more or less, as shown on the plat dated July 25, 2007, marked Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Bosselman Tank and Trailer, Inc., a Nebraska
Corporation, on the above-described tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, August 14, 2007.
