RESOLUTION 98-SWA-1
WHEREAS, on September 8, 1997, by Resolution 97-SWA-1, the Grand Island
Area Solid Waste Agency adopted and approved the Solid Waste Agency budget; and
WHEREAS, on September 8, 1997, by Ordinance No. 8328"A", the Ciry of Grand
Island adopted the proposed budget statement; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that an additional appropriation of $698,329.00 be
authorized for the construction of Ce112 at the Grand Island Regional Landfill; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Nebraska Proprietary Budget Act, it is
necessary to adopt a proprietary function reconciliation statement to reflect such additional
appropriation; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required prior to the adoption of such reconciliation
statement; and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Agency conducted a public hearing on March 23,
1998 in conjunction with such appropriation authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, acting as the governing body of the Grand
Island Area Solid Waste Agency, that the Reconciliation Statement attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
is hereby adopted and approved.
