WHEREAS, a public sanitary sewer easement is required by the City of Grand Island,
from Jack D. O'Hara and DeAnne L. O'Hara, husband and wife, to construct, operate, maintain,
extend, repair, replace and remove public utilities, including sanitary sewers, manholes, pipelines,
surface markers and other appurtenances through a tract of land consisting of a twenty (20.0) foot
wide easement; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 22, 2007, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement located in a part of the Southeast Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter (SE'/4 NE'/4) of Section Twenty Four (24), Township Eleven (11) North, Range
Ten (10) West of the 6`~ P.M. in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, the centerline of
said Twenty (20.0) foot wide easement being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of said Southeast Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter (SE'/4 NE'/4), and the northerly right of way line of the Union
Pacific Railroad Company; thence running southwesterly along the northerly right
of way line of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, a distance of Three Hundred
(300.0) feet; thence deflecting right 90°00'00" and running northwesterly a
distance of Two Hundred Fifty Two and Forty Eight Hundredths (252.48) feet, to
the actual point of beginning; thence deflecting left 90°57' 15" and running
southwesterly a distance of One Hundred Sixty Six and Nineteen Hundredths
(166.19) feet, to the Point of Termination, said tract containing 0.076 acres more or
less.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public sanitary sewer easement from Jack D. O'Hara and DeAnne L. O'Hara,
husband and wife, on the above-described tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, May 22, 2007.

(24), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Ten (10) West of the 6th. P.M., in the City of
Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, the centerline of said Twenty (20.0) foot wide
easemenf being more particularly described os follows:
