04/24/2007 Resolutions 2007-91RESOLUTION 2007-91 WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from Midland Ag Services, Inc., a Nebraska Corporation, to install, upgrade, maintain, and repair public utilities and appurtenances; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 24, 2007, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement located in a part of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter (E'/z, NE'/4) of Section Fourteen (14), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9), West of the 6th P.M., Hall County, Nebraska, the five (5.0) foot wide utility easement, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE'/4) of Section Fourteen (14), Township Eleven (ll) North, Range Nine (9) West; thence northerly, along the easterly line of said Northeast Quarter (NE'/4), a distance of sixty six (66.0) feet; thence westerly, parallel with the southerly line of the said Northeast Quarter (NE'/4), a distance of six hundred seventy four and seventy two hundredths (674.72) feet, to the actual point of beginning; thence continuing westerly, parallel with the southerly line of the said Northeast Quarter (NE'/4), a distance of six hundred forty nine and four hundredths (649.04) feet, to the southeast corner of Lot Thirty Two (32), Industrial Addition to the City of Grand Island. The above-described easement and right-of--way containing 0.074 acres, more or less, as shown on the plat dated Apri16, 2007, marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Midland Ag Services, Inc., a Nebraska Corporation, on the above-described tract of land. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, Apri124, 2007.
