RESOLUTION 2006-153 WHEREAS, the intersection of 10th Street, Adams Street, and Broadwell Avenue is a combination of a "T" and "Y" intersection which poses ongoing traffic safety issues; and WHEREAS, improving the traffic flow at such intersection would require the acquisition of property in order to construct a cul-de-sac; and WHEREAS, the owners of property adjacent to such intersection have agreed to sell a small parcel of land to the City for use in developing a cul-de-sac; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 9, 2006, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of property comprising the north Seventy and Seven Tenths (70.7) feet of Lots One (1) and Two (2) in Block Thirteen (13), Fairview Park Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire property at the intersection of 10th Street, Adams Streets and Broadwell Street from Steven P. Lockwood and Bonnie R. Lockwood, husband and wife, and Karen K. Williams- Burke and John Burke, wife and husband, on the above-described tract of land. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, May 9,2006.
